The Regenerative Education Alliance (REA) offers hands-on educational opportunities for high school students interested in regenerative agriculture, local food systems, and environmental leadership. Whether you're looking for a semester-long internship or a one-day immersive workshop, our programs are designed to get your hands in the soil—and your mind thinking about the future.
Our inaugural series, hosted in Fall 2024 and titled Under Cover, engaged 10 students in 20 hours of hands-on education in regenerative agriculture. Participants explored core principles of soil health, sustainability, and food security through multiple farm visits, interacting with experts in the field and gaining practical insights. Their work included harvesting produce for Una Vida, deepening their understanding of how agriculture and community well-being are connected. The program culminated in a public presentation, where students shared their learnings and emphasized the role of regenerative practices in addressing social and environmental challenges.
Our Spring 2025 internship offered a broader overview of regenerative agriculture and included site visits to farms and ranches throughout Sonoma County. Students explored multiple career pathways in the field, connected with mentors, and strengthened leadership skills by presenting what they learned to others in the community.
