Internship Overview
This partnership internship between Petaluma City Schools and the Regenerative Education Alliance (REA) offers high school students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of regenerative agriculture. Interns will work alongside local farmers and educators, learning regenerative practices and the principles of environmentally sustainable food production. Designed for 11th and 12th graders with a passion for sustainability, this internship provides invaluable skills for future careers, enhances college applications, and develops professional experience in agriculture.
Internship Details
Hours: Up to 4 hours per week. Work hours are after 4 PM on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, and between noon and 5 PM on Sundays.
Compensation: Unpaid, volunteer-based.
Location: The program has a home base at a local farm and includes outings to various partner farms and nonprofits throughout the semester. Transportation is the responsibility of the intern.
